Welcome back to Bowls 2026.
On a lovely sunny day, Ladies Opening Day took place place, congratulations to Watton ladies, Edna Mayhew, Sandy Vellum, Shirley Ball, skipped by Annette Walters winners of the fours challenge.
Many events are taking place in the near future, come along and support the teams and competitors.
Dates for your diary:
Johns and Walker Cup trial.
This is to be held at County Arts B.C on Saturday May 9th 2026 at 10.00am. The squad for the games along with the team for the first game, and the team for the Walker Cup will be published on the website after the selection meeting.
Federation Challenge.
Next week sees the annual game against the Federation. This takes place at County Arts, starting at 1.30pm.
Pairs Tournament.
The Pairs tournament for unbadged bowlers is taking place at Norfolk Bowls Club on Thursday 14th May. Come along and support the day raising funds for the County. Donations gratefully received.
Johns Trophy.
The games which will be played at County Arts on Saturday 6th June 11.00am start against Suffolk and Saturday 20th June 11.00am start against Cambridgeshire. The final game is against Essex on Saturday July 11th at Hadleigh B.C Suffolk, 12.00 noon start.
Walker Cup 2026.
This will take place at Haughley B.C. Suffolk on Sunday 31st May starting at 9.30am. Norfolk will play Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Hunts in the round robin event.
County over 60’s mixed team.
The over 60’s team will play Suffolk on Tuesday 16th June. Venue and time to be confirmed.
Amy Rose team.
They will play on Sunday 14th June at Dunmow B.C Essex. Congratulations to Ellie Johnson, Shannon Tucker, Gemma Siely, Nicole Moseley, Chloe Palmer and Lily Barker who have been selected by team manager Anna Noble to represent Norfolk.
