Congratulations to Katherine Rednall.

An amazing achievement. Last Sunday afternoon in front of a near capacity stadium in Glasgow, Katherine won a Commonwealth gold medal in the singles for Team England.

She battled her way through five group games beating Ellen Fife the defending champion on her way to the semi final where she faced Shae Wilson of the Norfolk Islands.

In the final she faced Ali Merrien of Guernsey. The end result, a two sets to nil victory for Katherine. She become only the third woman from England to win the title.

Katherine’s gold in the final game of the Bowls rounded off a brilliant games for Team England, three gold medals, one silver and two bronze.
