Norfolk suffered their first defeat of the season when they lost to Suffolk at County Arts, losing by 88 shots to 112 and taking only 3 of the 20 points at stake.
Suffolk looked in control of the match throughout but Norfolk remained in contention until the final few ends when Suffolk pulled away to secure a comfortable victory. The rink skipped by Aaron Johnson secured a last end victory and David Lamb’s rink earned a creditable draw. There was a last end defeat for Chris Rowe’s Over 60/Officers rink whilst the other 2 rinks fell to heavy defeats.
There was better news for the Junior Rink who took their first point of the season but were disappointed not to take the rink win by losing 2 shots on the last end.
With the win Suffolk head the League table with 3 wins out of 3 but Norfolk’s defence of the League title has not ended with all still to play for in the remaining 2 matches
