Gissing are the 2026 County League winners having beaten County Arts BC ‘B’ and Cawston in the WP Baker Cup finals held at Thorpe Rec. BC on Sunday.

Not only do Gissing lift the WP Baker Cup, which they last won in 2014, but also a place in next year’s Premier League
Both semi-finals where close affairs with Gissing getting past County Arts B by a single shot in a tense finish. The other semi-final was equally close with Cawston surviving a late comeback from Shipdham, who in the preliminary round had overcome Hempton ‘A’ who many thought were the pre-playoff favourites, by just 2 shots.
In the final, for most of the match Cawston led but a stirring fightback from Gissing saw them take the title by 16 shots.
Congratulation not only to Gissing but to the other 3 teams as well for great performances in what was a challenging day in very hot conditions
