In the quarter finals of the senior fours at Swaffham this morning, Brian Taylor of County Arts started strongly racing into an 11-0 lead. Hunstanton staged a comeback and reduced the deficit it 5 shots but a 6 from Taylor on the 10th end snuffed out the challenge. County Arts ran on 23-11 winners

The second quarter final was a nip and tuck affair with Hempton holding a narrow 17-16 lead after end 16. A 2 and 4 on the final end secured the win for Gary Oakley’s Wymondham rink

The third semi final saw Adrian Field’s Norfolk BC rink surge into an 11-2 lead by end 7, then the Wymondham rink of Alan Willer found the pace and closed the gap to 15-11 after 16 ends. A single shot to each side saw the Norfolk BC rink run out 16-12 winners

1. The fourth quarter between Acle and Downham Market was a very close affair until Acle looked to have secured victory with a single on the 16th end. Downham hit back with a four on the 17th leaving the game all square playing the last. In a tense final end Acle managed to secure two shots to progress to the semi final this afternoon
