Norfolk young bowlers travelled to Felixstowe & Suffolk BC yesterday in the East Regional Finals of the White Rose Trophy taking on teams from Essex & Suffolk.

All Counties had 2 teams of 5 players playing pairs and triples in a round robin format with the overall winners progressing to the National Finals with the Norfolk teams being:

Norfolk A: Jude Smith, Ryan Fox, Ben Chalk, Stan Turner & Matt Mills

Norfolk B: Chris Barker, Harry Stone, Bradley Rathbone, Owen Frosdick & Tom Codman

Both teams performed creditably against much more experienced players and over the course of the day put in some fine performances  achieving some notable results, particularly with Norfolk A beating the overall winners, Essex A.

In the end experience told over what was a long day with Essex A coming out as overall winners.

The Norfolk bowlers can be very proud on the way they performed and were a credit to themselves, their Club and their County and the experienced gained in such a high profile event will stand them in good stead for the future.
